Breakfast of Champions

For those of you out there that are familiar with the title of this article I am not speaking about the "original" breakfast of champions - Wheaties cereal. Nor am I speaking of the Kurt Vonnegut novel Breakfast of Champions in which a waitress announces "Breakfast of Champions" each time she serves a martini. I know, I can just hear some of the moans as you read this. BUT, do not fear, what I am actually talking about is starting each day with a meal that makes you feel like a champion so that you can be your best for the day.

Why Can't I Sleep?

Do you have difficulty falling asleep, wake frequently during the night or wake and cannot go back to sleep? You are one of 60 million Americans that are affected by sleep disturbance. A 2006 publication produced by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke states that about 40% of women and 30% of men have insomnia for frequent or extended periods of time.

Lifestyle Matters! - part 3

Lifestyle does matter!  As I tell all of my patients in either their first or second visit, "By addressing lifestyle, we are working together to create a healthy foundation and healthy habits." If you incorporate these suggestions into your life you will be doing your body, mind and spirit a world of good.
